The State of South Carolina is seeking a qualified locum‑tenens agency to provide temporary physician, dentist, psychiatrist, psychologist, and other medical doctor staffing on a statewide term‑contract basis. The contractor will supply staff as either W‑2 employees (up to 45 % markup) or 1099 freelancers (up to 25 % markup), must carry extensive liability and information‑security insurance, and will be responsible for payroll, benefits, background checks, drug‑screening, and compliance with state licensing requirements. The contract is firm‑fixed‑price, spans an initial one‑year term with up to four optional one‑year renewals, and includes a quarterly administrative services fee of 1.25 % of total sales. The award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible offer, with a 10 % lower‑price clause allowing alternate vendors if they can beat the contract price.
