Description
The Wake County Public School System is seeking a vendor to provide district-wide moving services, including relocation of classrooms, offices, and storage. The contract term will be from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2027. The selected vendor will be responsible for ensuring that all goods are properly prepared, loaded, transported, and delivered in accordance with the requirements outlined in the RFP. Some key services include:
• Relocation of classrooms and offices
• Storage and delivery of furniture and equipment
• Provision of packing materials and supplies
• Disassembly and reassembly of furniture
The vendor will be required to provide a detailed manifest for each trailer load, take clear photographs of the condition of items before and after transport, and verify the accuracy of the manifest with the receiving site representative.
• The RFP includes a list of required insurance coverage, including commercial general liability, commercial automobile liability, and workers' compensation.
• The vendor will be required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to employment, taxes, and environmental protection.
• The RFP includes a section on historically underutilized businesses, encouraging participation in the procurement process by businesses owned by minorities, women, disabled, and non-profit work centers for the blind and severely disabled.
