A pre‑application virtual conference on Sep 9 2026 is strongly encouraged. Funding tracks include leadership and nursing‑home administrator training, clinical skill training, nurse‑aide training, technology/communications upgrades, electronic health‑record implementation, and resident‑care enhancements such as telehealth kiosks, improved Wi‑Fi, call‑bell systems, communal‑space upgrades, mobility equipment, resident council support, and PCR point‑of‑care testing. • Eligible entities: SNFs, PCHs, ALFs, ICFs in Pennsylvania • Total award pool: ~$12 M; average award $120‑$250 k • Application deadline: 10/01/26 7:00 a.m. ET (electronic) • Pre‑application conference: 09/09/26 10:00‑13:00 ET (Teams) – evaluation component • Required vendor registration in SAP and clean CRPS status • Nine‑month performance period (Jan 1 – Sep 30 2027) with possible 90‑day extensions • Six funding tracks (3 workforce, 3 infrastructure) with specific maximums and quote requirements • Evaluation based on need, readiness, prior quality‑improvement performance, and implementation plan

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $300,000

The total grant pool is approximately $12 million, with the Department expecting to award between 48 and 100 agreements. This yields an average award size of roughly $120,000, but individual awards can range from the $5,000‑$25,000 per‑person training caps up to $125,000 for large infrastructure projects (e.g., EHR implementation). Considering the mix of smaller workforce grants and larger infrastructure grants, a realistic earnings range for a successful applicant would be about $100,000 on the low end (smaller facility pursuing limited training) to $300,000 on the high end (facility securing multiple infrastructure tracks, such as EHR and telehealth). Factors influencing the final amount include the number of licensed beds, the number of staff enrolled in training, and the scope/quotes for infrastructure projects.
