Description
The Shelby County Board of Education (SCBE) is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive fire‑water sprinkler inspection, testing, preventive maintenance, emergency repair, and five‑year internal inspections for all sprinkler systems across every MSCS school facility. Work must adhere to NFPA 25 (2021) standards, include rapid emergency response, detailed reporting, and retain records for three years. The contract is a firm‑fixed‑price, one‑year term with two optional one‑year renewals, and the award will be based on the lowest responsible and responsive bid.
• Perform annual preventive‑maintenance inspections and tests of all dry/wet risers, stand‑pipe, fire pumps, valves, and private fire service mains.
• Respond to emergency repair calls within 2 hours, provide 24‑hour contact, and submit quotations before work proceeds (unless pre‑approved).
• Deliver immediate defect reports within 24 hours and full inspection reports within 10 business days; retain all documentation for three years.
