Request For Proposals for Oregon Tobacco Quit Line Services

The Oregon Health Authority is seeking a contractor to provide tobacco quit line services, including client services, information to the general public, and data collection and reporting services. The contractor will provide evidence-based cessation services, tailored to each participant's needs, and ensure that services are culturally and linguistically appropriate. The contractor will also provide written support materials, referrals to community-based cessation and self-management programs, and individualized cessation medication decision support. The contract will be for an initial term of two years, with the option to renew for up to ten years. The total compensation for the life of the contract cannot exceed $3,500,000. Some key features of the job include: * Providing quitline services to approximately 2,000 Oregonians who use commercial tobacco each year * Ensuring that quitline operations and quality improvement activities reflect evidence-based research on the adverse health effects of commercial tobacco products * Procuring and distributing FDA-approved nicotine replacement therapy products to eligible participants * Coordinating with a comprehensive approach to promote the Oregon Quit Line through earned and paid media activities * Demonstrating how to successfully triage commercial tobacco users to quitline benefits offered by an increased number of public and private insurance plans
