The City of La Porte is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide and shoot a fireworks display as part of the City's annual Fourth of July celebration. The display shall be electronically fired at 9:15 p.m. or as directed by the events coordinator. The main show shall start at this point, and the show shall be layered, with shells sent to different heights so that smoke will dissipate and not obscure the view. The show must last between 15-20 minutes, including the finale. The display shall be continuous, with no large gaps in presentation.
• The Contractor shall provide a variety of shell types, with different functions, patterns of break, colors, and sizes.
• The majority of the shells shall be in the 4” to 8” range.
• No cakes or low-level ground effects are allowed due to the tree line.
• The maximum size of the shells shall not be greater than the law allows.
• No parachute shells or parachute fireworks/lanterns are allowed.
• The Contractor shall furnish all equipment necessary to display the fireworks effectively and safely.
• The Contractor shall conduct his operations in strict accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local safety codes, laws, statutes, and regulations.
