Description
The County of Santa Barbara is seeking proposals from qualified Proposers for the procurement and implementation of enterprise-grade vSAN Ready Nodes to support a comprehensive VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) infrastructure refresh. The proposed solution must replace three existing VxRail clusters, support disaster recovery modernization, and enable migration to VCF Identity Broker while maintaining operational continuity. Key requirements include VCF certification, dual-socket servers, hardware support for VCF 9 memory tiering capabilities, and redundant network connectivity. The proposed solution must also meet specific software and licensing requirements, including vSAN architecture analysis, disaster recovery solution, and VCF Identity Broker implementation.
• The County currently operates two vCenter servers in Enhanced Linked Mode and requires a migration plan to VCF Identity Broker.
• The proposed solution must support a maximum of 15-minute RPO for business continuity and ensure compatibility with Commvault backup operations.
• The County requires professional services from a qualified Proposer with demonstrated expertise in enterprise IT infrastructure.
• The proposed solution must provide a comprehensive analysis of VCF 9 features and their applicability to this environment.
