ORTHOTICS FITTER NEEDED | EMERGENCY | WASHINGTON DC VAMC

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide two Orthotic Fitters to support the Prosthetic and Sensory Aids Service (PSAS) at the Washington, DC VA Medical Center. The Orthotic Fitters will perform services under the supervision and direction of VA clinical leadership, including fitting, dispensing, adjusting, and documenting orthotic devices and therapeutic footwear. The contract will be for a six-month period, with a total of 2,080 hours. The contractor must provide certified Orthotic Fitters with experience in orthotic fitting, therapeutic shoe fitting, patient interaction, documentation, and inventory support in a healthcare or prosthetics/orthotics environment. • The contractor will be responsible for ensuring that the Orthotic Fitters perform their duties accurately and on schedule. • The contractor will be required to maintain patient safety, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times. • The contractor will be expected to document services clearly and completely. • The contractor will be required to support clinic workflow with minimal disruption and timely coordination. • The contractor will be expected to comply with VA policies governing therapeutic footwear, in-shoe orthoses, and PSAS operations.
