Description
The U.S. Air Force 147th Mission Support Group at Ellington Field, Houston, Texas is seeking a qualified small‑business contractor to replace an existing 122‑ton chiller with a new Carrier 30RC (or approved equal) unit. The scope includes removal of the existing unit, installation of the new chiller, associated electrical and mechanical work (conduit, raceways, check valves, isolation valves, possible wye strainer), integration with the building automation system (BAS/DDC), temporary cooling provision, and full testing, startup, and one‑year labor warranty. The contract will be a firm‑fixed‑price, 100 % total small‑business set‑aside. Quotations are due September 24, 2026.
• Replace existing 122‑ton chiller with new Carrier 30RC or equivalent
• Provide temporary cooling, verify and install required conduit, raceways, check valve, isolation valve, and possible wye strainer
• Perform all electrical work per NEC and local code; submit raceway proposals for review
• Integrate new chiller into existing BAS/DDC system (BACnet IP/MSTP)
• Conduct refrigerant recovery, system testing, startup, and provide one‑year labor warranty
• Deliver complete technical, pricing, and past‑performance documentation per solicitation requirements
