Description
The Department of Human Services is seeking a supplier to provide fresh bread products, including white bread, rye bread, whole wheat bread, and various types of rolls, for the period of April-June 2026. The supplier must meet specific product characteristics, labeling, and packaging requirements. The products must be delivered to Clarks Summit State Hospital, and the vendor must coordinate deliveries with the food service director. The contract will be for a period of three months, and the vendor will be paid for the actual net weight or count of products delivered and accepted by the Department.
• The supplier must provide products that meet the specified characteristics, including texture, flavor, and aroma.
• The products must be packaged in accordance with commercial practice and afford adequate protection against deterioration and physical damage during shipment.
• The vendor must indicate any discrepancies between the actual net weight or count and the contracted amount at the time of delivery.
• The vendor must obtain prior approval for any schedule changes from the director of dietary services.
• The contract may be cancelled by the facility with at least 5 days' notice prior to a scheduled delivery date.
