ATF FRL Preventive Maintenance for X-Ray CRT System

The Bureau of ATF intends to negotiate a sole source award with North Star Imaging Inc. for preventive maintenance and software maintenance for the Fire Research Laboratory's computed tomography (CT) system. The contract includes two scheduled preventive maintenance visits per year, cleaning and inspecting of x-ray tubes, replacement of O-rings, and adjustment to manufacturer's specifications. The contract also includes standard software maintenance, documentation of findings and recommendations, and preferred scheduling. The X3000 Industrial Scanner System is located at the ATF Forensic Science Laboratory - Fire Research Laboratory in Ammendale, MD. • The contract has a base year and four option years, with a total cost of $132,644. • The contractor must have intimate knowledge of the x-ray system, imaging components, and control system. • The contractor must be certified by North Star Imaging to install, service, and maintain the equipment and software. • The contract includes a 10% discount on parts and discounted rates on collective services. • All replacement parts must be factory-certified by the OEM. • Parts and labor for routine preventive maintenance shall be covered. • All work shall be performed by service technicians certified by North Star Imaging.
