Description
The United States Postal Service is seeking a contractor to provide contract delivery services for the HCR 961A6 route in Alturas, CA. The contractor will be responsible for delivering mail to various post offices and customers along the route. The contract will commence on October 1, 2026, and will last for approximately 6 years. The contractor will be required to provide a vehicle that meets the Postal Service's requirements and to ensure that all mail is delivered in a timely and secure manner. Some key responsibilities of the contractor will include:
* Delivering mail to post offices and customers along the route
* Loading and unloading mail at post offices and other designated locations
* Providing customer service to postal customers
* Maintaining accurate records of mail delivery and other related activities

* Having a valid driver's license and a good driving record
* Having experience in delivering mail or providing similar services

* Being able to work independently and as part of a team
The contractor will be compensated based on the number of miles driven and the weight of the mail delivered. The contract will also include provisions for fuel, maintenance, and other expenses related to the delivery of mail.
