PASRR Quality Assurance Reviewer

The Health Care Authority (HCA) is seeking a qualified contractor to provide a Quality Assurance Reviewer for the Preadmission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) Screening Program. The contractor will be responsible for evaluating nursing facility applicants and residents, providing written feedback, and ensuring that individuals with mental illness are appropriately placed in facilities that can meet their needs. The contractor will also be responsible for conducting Level II PASRR evaluations, providing recommendations for specialized services, and ensuring that nursing facilities receive timely documentation of evaluation recommendations. Key aspects of the job include: • Conducting Level II PASRR evaluations to determine the need for specialized services for mental illness • Providing written feedback and recommendations for specialized services • Ensuring that nursing facilities receive timely documentation of evaluation recommendations • Collaborating with hospital staff, primary care physicians, and social workers to ensure that individuals with mental illness are appropriately placed in facilities that can meet their needs • Managing time constraints and communicating progress to ensure that assessments are completed and processed in a timely manner
