Virtualization Infrastructure Support

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking information on commercially available and open-source virtualization platforms and associated services to replace its current virtualization infrastructure. The proposed solution should support multi-cloud operations, advanced automation capabilities, and be robust, scalable, and cost-effective. The services required include platform modernization and architecture, automation and multi-cloud capabilities, compatibility and integration, security and compliance, software and licensing, migration and implementation support services, and training and knowledge transfer. The solution should also support both on-premises and external cloud service providers, have custom scripting or ancillary script/automation engine services, and provide 24x7x365 support. Some key points to consider: • The current environment is predominantly VMware by Broadcom, with over 3,000 virtualization hosts at 3+ physical data center locations. • The solution should be capable of supporting future growth and evolving requirements beyond the current metrics. • The contractor shall provide a detailed Contractor Statement of Work and a draft Project Management Plan, including a Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan, Risk Management and Business Continuity Plan, and Transition-In Plan. • The period of performance is four years, consisting of a 12-month base period and three 12-month option periods. • The place of performance is US Customs and Border Protection, 22001 Loudoun County Parkway, Ashburn, VA, 20147.
