Lab Data Management

The U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is seeking a contractor to provide lab data management services, specifically for the LabX system. The contractor will be responsible for upgrading the LabX system, providing operations and maintenance support, and making minor configuration changes. The DEA has a workforce of over 16,000 personnel, including law enforcement officers and administrative, technical, and professional support personnel. The contractor will work with the DEA's Office of Forensic Sciences and seventeen laboratory locations across the continental United States. The key tasks include requirements gathering, participating in updates meetings, maintenance and support, and providing helpdesk support. • The contractor shall provide ongoing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support of the LabX application. • The contractor shall identify and correct application defects, perform problem resolution, identification and documentation of application performance issues. • The contractor shall provide user support and system administration including system monitoring and file maintenance, system upgrades, and system documentation updates as needed. • The contractor shall provide helpdesk support, including answering phone calls and emails, monitoring and updating DEA's Service Desk system, and communicating with end users regarding issues through resolution.
