Investigative/Evidence Towing

The City of Yakima's Police Department (YPD) is requesting bids for investigative/evidence towing services. The contract includes services such as towing for both YPD vehicles and impounds for investigative purposes. The contract term is for one year with options for up to four additional years. The contractor will provide personnel, labor, products, and supervision to perform the services. The contractor must maintain insurance, including commercial liability and automobile liability, and must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. The contract includes provisions for termination, dispute resolution, and indemnification. • The contract includes a non-discrimination provision, which prohibits the contractor from discriminating against any person on the grounds of race, creed, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, pregnancy, veteran's status, political affiliation or belief, or the presence of any sensory, mental or physical handicap. • The contractor must provide proof of insurance, including commercial liability and automobile liability, and must maintain a valid Washington department of Revenue state excise tax registration number and a valid Washington Unified Business Identification (UBI) number. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Washington State Law Against Discrimination and the Americans with Disabilities Act. • The contract includes provisions for termination, including termination for cause and termination for convenience. • The contract includes provisions for dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.
