Collaborative for Higher Education Shared Services
Description
This sole‑source contract awards the Collaborative for Higher Education Shared Services (CHESS) a $17 M, 2.5‑year agreement to provide Workday enterprise resource planning (ERP) and student information system (SIS) services on a shared‑services model for six New Mexico community colleges. The agreement includes licensing, implementation, ongoing support, and data‑governance functions across finance, HR, admissions, financial aid, and related academic processes. CHESS is the only entity able to deliver these services because it holds the existing Workday contract that was awarded after a competitive RFP (P‑430) involving multiple institutions. The justification cites $9 M in savings from negotiated pricing and compliance with New Mexico statutory requirements for sole‑source procurements.
• $17 M total contract value for a 2.5‑year term (09/13/2026 – 03/12/2029).
• Provides Workday ERP/SIS shared services to six community colleges, covering finance, HR, payroll, admissions, financial aid, and academic records.
• Sole‑source awarded to CHESS, the holder of the existing Workday license, with documented $9 M savings versus the original Workday quote.
