HVAC Services

The University of North Florida (UNF) is seeking qualified state licensed Certified Air Conditioning Contractors or Certified Mechanical Contractors to provide various HVAC services for all UNF properties on an as-needed basis. The scope of services includes service, maintenance and repair, replacement units, parts and materials, and the purchase and installation of new units. The contract has a term of 5 years, with an option to renew for an additional 5 years. The contract value is not guaranteed and is dependent on the availability of funding and need. • The contract includes various HVAC service categories, such as Direct Expansion, Chill Water/Commercial DX Systems, Air Handler, and Other HVAC Related Equipment. • The contractor must provide proof of a minimum of 5 years of experience in similar type work and must be prequalified in the service category deemed most appropriate for the project by UNF. • The contractor must also provide a complete list of safety-related training that each Journeyman, Apprentice, and Helper receives on an annual basis. • The contract includes a pricing schedule, with separate pricing for each HVAC service category. • The contractor must comply with all federal, state, and local laws, codes, rules, and regulations, and must follow manufacturer's specifications and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) code.
