Autism Waiver Plan of Care Consultant

The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) is seeking a qualified consultant to review, approve, and monitor Autism Waiver Plan of Care (POC) submissions for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The consultant will work within MSDE’s procedures, ensuring timely approval (7 days standard, 3 days expedited), providing technical assistance, and maintaining compliance records. The role is contract‑based, hybrid work at the MSDE office in Baltimore, with an anticipated term from mid‑September 2026 through the end of September 2027 and a total contract ceiling of $50,000. • Review and approve POCs within specified timelines • Monitor provider and Service Coordinator compliance • Conduct technical assistance, training, and corrective actions • Perform follow‑up on non‑utilization forms • Must have ≥3 years ASD experience, ≥2 years Maryland Autism Waiver experience, and a bachelor’s in a human services field • Work location: MSDE Nancy S.
