Parade Floats and Related Services

The Houston Community College System is seeking quotes from qualified companies to provide parade floats and related services for various events throughout the year. The contractor will be responsible for designing, constructing, and transporting the floats, as well as providing all necessary labor, materials, and equipment. The contract term is expected to be one year, with the option for the college to extend the contract on a month-to-month basis for up to three months. The contractor must have a minimum of five consecutive years of experience in providing similar services and must be able to meet the college's requirements for insurance, safety, and quality control. Some key requirements for the floats include: • The float deck will have two levels • The float colors are Space City Blue, Clear Skies, and Sunshine, or equivalent materials, with black festoon trim and yellow fringe, or equivalent • All floats must use flameproof materials • The float must include a generator or an adequate, similar power source to operate equipment such as a sound system and a microphone • The sound system should include a Bluetooth connection, as well as the option to play CDs The contractor will be selected based on factors such as price, reputation, quality of services, and ability to meet the college's needs.
