Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking a contractor to perform histopathology and antibody screening of mouse model DNA editing therapeutic preclinical trial samples for Hutchinson Gilford progeria syndrome. The contractor will be responsible for processing and analyzing tissue samples from 60 mice, including histopathology staining and AAV9 antibody screening. The study aims to demonstrate the efficacy and non-toxicity of the DNA editing therapeutic. The contractor will be required to follow Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) guidelines and provide detailed reports of their findings. Some key aspects of the job include: • Processing and analyzing tissue samples from 60 mice • Performing histopathology staining, including hematoxylin and eosin, Movat's pentachrome, and other stains • Conducting AAV9 antibody screening using a proprietary assay • Providing detailed reports of findings, including GLP-compliant documentation • Returning all histopathology slides and tissue samples to the NIH at the completion of the project

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is likely to be in the range of $200,000 to $500,000, based on the scope of work and the requirements for GLP-compliant documentation and reporting. The contractor will need to have specialized expertise and equipment to perform the histopathology and antibody screening, which will likely drive up the cost. Additionally, the contractor will need to follow strict guidelines and protocols to ensure the quality and integrity of the data, which may also increase the cost.
