The Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) requires a modernized, distributed Audio Visual (AV) and conferencing system. The system must be designed to support various areas within the shipyard, including the Quarterdeck, Main Office, Gosport Auditorium, and surrounding operational areas. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary equipment, installation, programming, and testing to deliver a fully functional system. Key features of the system include simplicity of operation, maximum flexibility, standardized collaboration, and system robustness. The system will utilize AV-over-IP (AVoIP) technologies and must be integrated with existing Government Furnished Property (GFP). Some of the specific requirements include:
• Installing a six-panel video wall display in the Quarterdeck
• Providing a 10.1-inch tabletop touch panel and an Apple iPad Air for control interfaces
• Installing a high-impact, 165-inch Direct View LED (DVLED) display in the Gosport Auditorium
• Providing six ceiling-mounted coaxial tile loudspeakers and a beamforming ceiling microphone array
• Integrating existing GFP into the design, including LG displays and Crestron DM-NVX-E20 encoders
The contractor will also be responsible for conducting site verification, validating technical drawings, and coordinating with Government IT and security personnel. The project will be executed in phases, including engineering and design validation, staging and pre-configuration, physical installation and integration, and testing and commissioning.
