Description

This Request for Quote (RFQ) is for the study of the effect of radiation quality and galactic cosmic radiation on the risk of carcinogenesis in outbred mice. The contractor will be required to determine the effects of radiation quality, dose, and dose rate on cancer initiation, promotion, and progression in HS/Npt outbred mice, and establish relative biological effectiveness (RBE) and quality factor estimates for space-relevant radiation exposures. • The contract will be for a period of 48 months, from April 1, 2026, to March 29, 2030. • The contractor will be required to provide a detailed description of their approach, including their methodology, equipment, and personnel. • The contractor will be evaluated based on their technical acceptability, past performance, and price. • The Government reserves the right to award a contract to the responsible offeror whose offer is most advantageous to the Government, considering price and other factors.
