Cancer Registry Services - VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide cancer registry services for the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. The contractor will be responsible for case finding, case abstracting, follow-up, and data submission to the National Cancer Database (NCDB) and state where applicable. The contractor must have certified oncology data specialists (ODS-C) on staff, and they must participate in ongoing cancer-related education. The contractor will be evaluated based on their performance, and the contract may be terminated if they fail to meet the required standards. Key requirements include: • 100% case finding and abstracting • 80% follow-up rate on all patients • 90% follow-up rate on patients diagnosed within the last 5 years • Data submission to NCDB and state where applicable • Monthly reports and invoices • Ongoing surveillance and quality checks • Certified oncology data specialists (ODS-C) on staff • Participation in ongoing cancer-related education
