Description
The State of Tennessee is seeking to award contracts for Institutional Apparel and Hygiene Supplies. The successful supplier(s) will provide apparel and hygiene items to authorized users at the same price and under the same terms and conditions. The key outcomes of this contract include obtaining competitive pricing, minimizing spend on non-essential items, and reducing costs through operational efficiencies. The contract will cover various categories, including footwear, clothing, accessories, scrub pants, and hygiene supplies. Suppliers must have the ability to restrict or block state purchases on certain categories and subcategories of items.
Some of the key requirements include:
• Apparel items must meet fabric, sizing, durability, and color requirements
• Samples are required for footwear items
• No items in the core item kits can be packaged in aluminum or metal containers
• Suppliers must communicate manufacturer's discontinuation of any items to the state contract administrator
• Order fill rates will be maintained at 98% or greater for all orders
• The supplier(s) shall send an order confirmation to the authorized user according to industry best practices
• The supplier(s) may participate in the TN SmartShop initiative, an e-marketplace of active statewide contracts
