Description
The State of Alabama’s Army National Guard is seeking a qualified contractor to provide preventive maintenance, inspection, repair, and emergency lockout services for GSA‑specified vaults located at multiple military facilities throughout Alabama (Region 3B). The work includes routine servicing of combination and electromechanical locks, vault‑door inspections, parts replacement, and detailed reporting in compliance with FED‑STD‑809E (02/17/2023). All labor must be performed by GSA‑certified technicians; subcontracting is prohibited, and the contractor must maintain a physical storefront in Alabama and meet specified insurance minimums. The contract is a 12‑month base period with up to four optional one‑year extensions, and responses are submitted via the Alabama Buys portal.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on mechanical (FF‑L‑2937) and electromechanical (FF‑L‑2740/FF‑L‑2938) GSA vault locks per FED‑STD‑809E.
• Provide emergency lockout response within 24 hours and standard service‑call response within 7 working days, submitting post‑service notifications within 24 hours.
• Deliver detailed service reports and itemized invoices (including labor rates, parts cost, markup, and travel) for each visit; all repairs require pre‑approval in writing.
