RFO 25-141 FITSM IVV and QA

The California Department of Justice (DOJ) is seeking a team of experienced Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) and Quality Assurance (QA) consultants to provide objective oversight and assurance services for the Firearms Information Technology Systems Modernization (FITSM) project. The selected vendor will be required to provide a minimum of three full-time resources, including a Senior Project Manager, a Business Solutions Analyst, and a third resource that can be either a Senior Project Manager or a Business Solutions Analyst. The contract will be for an initial term of 12 months, with the option to extend for up to two additional 12-month periods. The estimated budget for the contract is $950,000. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing IV&V and QA services for the FITSM project • Ensuring technical and managerial independence from the software development and implementation effort • Conducting weekly and monthly status reports • Performing quality assurance assessments across the project lifecycle • Conducting requirement reviews and solicitation and procurement reviews • Providing knowledge transfer and support to the DOJ project team
