Astana Post in-country Courier Services

The U.S. Embassy Astana is seeking a contractor to provide in-country courier services within Kazakhstan. The contractor will be responsible for picking up and delivering shipments, including diplomatic mail, and providing updates on the status of shipments. The contractor must have the ability to load and unload vehicles and work on the compound of the U.S. Embassy Astana. The expected average monthly volume/billed weight is over 4000 kg. The contractor must also be able to act as an authorized representative of the U.S. Embassy Astana, picking up diplomatic mail at the airport in Astana and providing the U.S. Embassy with an invoice to pay on a monthly basis for all services combined. Some key requirements include: * Providing timely and secure transportation and delivery of shipments * Handling of dangerous goods in shipments * Providing insurance for shipments * Updates on statuses of shipments * Proof of delivery * Maintaining a high level of customer service * Having a fully functioning website for tracking shipments and submitting pickup requests electronically
