Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Assessment Consulting Services

The City of Thousand Oaks is seeking a consultant to conduct an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) assessment, which is the initial phase of the City's ERP modernization initiative. The selected consultant will partner with the City to conduct a comprehensive ERP assessment, evaluate current systems and processes, identify improvement opportunities, and define functional and technical requirements for a modern ERP environment. The consultant will also assist the City in developing a detailed ERP Request for Proposals (RFP), guiding the procurement and evaluation process, supporting vendor assessments and demonstrations, and helping the City select the ERP solution best aligned with its operational needs and strategic goals. Key aspects of the project include: • Conducting a comprehensive review of the City's current ERP system and related business processes • Evaluating existing systems to identify redundancies and integration gaps • Facilitating workshops with departmental stakeholders to document current processes and identify opportunities for improvement • Assessing business requirements across functional areas, including Finance, Human Resources, Payroll, Procurement, and Utility Billing • Defining high-level functional and technical requirements for a future ERP solution • Providing a comprehensive reporting and analytics strategy • Assessing organizational readiness for ERP modernization and identifying areas requiring additional change management support The City is looking for a consultant with expertise in ERP assessment and modernization projects, as well as a comprehensive understanding of enterprise technology environments.
