Description
The U.S. Mission to Moldova is seeking applications for the Balti America House Program, which aims to promote cultural exchange and understanding between the United States and Moldova. The program will support the operation of America House Balti, a cultural center that will provide a welcoming space for Moldovans to learn about American culture, values, and policies. The recipient organization will be responsible for staffing and operating the center, designing programs and activities, and managing the day-to-day operations. The program will focus on promoting open dialogue, countering negative preconceptions, and building bridges of understanding between the United States and Moldova. Key activities will include managing local Moldovan staff, purchasing and maintaining technology and materials, and designing a flexible and dynamic program of activities.
• The program will support the operation of America House Balti for a period of two years, with the possibility of renewal for up to two additional years.
• The recipient organization will be responsible for hiring and managing local staff, including a program manager, communications assistant, and production coordinator.
• The program will focus on promoting cultural exchange and understanding between the United States and Moldova, with a focus on young leaders and professionals.
• The recipient organization will be required to submit regular reports on program activities and outcomes, and to participate in monitoring and evaluation activities.
