Development, Operation, and Investment in Thorntree Golf Club

The City of DeSoto is seeking a partner to invest in, upgrade, and operate the Thorntree Golf Club, a 157-acre property located at 825 W. Wintergreen Road, DeSoto, Texas 75115. The selected proposer will be invited to enter into an agreement with the City to provide services in accordance with the scope of work. The project aims to transform the golf club into a vibrant mixed-use recreational and entertainment destination, integrating golf, hospitality, residential, and complementary commercial components. The proposer should address the following: Capital Investment Plan, Operations & Maintenance Plan, Financial Proposal, Design & Development Vision, Community Engagement, Environmental Sustainability, and Demonstration of Financial Capacity. • The golf club has been a valued asset of the community since its opening in 1984. • The City recognizes the need for capital investment to modernize the facility. • The investment is intended to be phased to incorporate environmental sustainability. • The proposer should have experience in the design, operation, or management of golf courses and similar amenities. • The proposer should provide a vision and idea for the golf club, including design elements, programming, amenities, and suitability with local and municipal agendas.
