Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking a cell sorter for the Diabetes Molecular Genetics Section. The cell sorter will be used to analyze and isolate specific cell populations from organoids using fluorescent markers. The ideal cell sorter should have three lasers and nine-color capability, such as the BD FACSMelody cell sorter. The cell sorter will support downstream experiments focused on cell identity, maturation, and response to experimental conditions. • The cell sorter should have three lasers and nine-color capability • The cell sorter should be able to analyze and isolate specific cell populations from organoids using fluorescent markers • The cell sorter should support downstream experiments focused on cell identity, maturation, and response to experimental conditions • The cell sorter should reduce reliance on more expensive single-cell sequencing methods

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $350,000

The budget for this opportunity is likely to be around $200,000 to $350,000, which is the simplified acquisition threshold. This estimation is based on the fact that the opportunity is for a cell sorter, which is a relatively expensive piece of laboratory equipment. The NIH is also using the simplified acquisition procedure, which suggests that the budget will be below the threshold of $350,000.
