QUALIFIED PLUMBING MAINTENANCE, REPAIR, AND INSTALLATION

The Southern California Logistics Airport Authority (SCLAA) is seeking qualified contractors to provide plumbing maintenance, repair, and installation services at the airport. The contractor will be responsible for installing, altering, repairing, maintaining, and providing a means for a supply of safe water and proper disposal of fluid waste. The contractor must have a valid California Contractor’s License C-36 and comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including prevailing wage rates and workers' compensation insurance. The contract has a base year with the option for four one-year renewals, and the contractor will be expected to maintain the prices and conditions outlined in the bid for the length of the original agreement. Some key responsibilities include: • Identifying required tools and special equipment • Selecting the type and size of pipe required • Locating and marking positions for connections and fixtures • Installing supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures, and equipment • Assembling and installing valves and fittings • Testing pipe systems and fixtures for leaks • Maintaining all building codes, installation requirements, and relevant legislation • Providing estimates of time, money, and materials needed • Providing emergency services at any time, 24 hours a day, seven days a week • Arranging for all code-required inspections and notifying the airport staff before inspections are conducted • Maintaining the work site in a safe and orderly condition at all times and making every effort to protect airport facilities from damage during operations
