Description
The California Highway Patrol is seeking a contractor to provide protective clothing and operational‑supply rental services for its Santa Cruz Area Office. The contractor will outfit officers with uniforms, handle ongoing resizing, and supply weekly rental items such as rags, mats, and mopheads, including pickup, cleaning, and inventory management. The work is performed on‑site one day per week, with quarterly inspections and strict documentation requirements. Preference incentives are available for small, micro, veteran‑owned, and DVBE participants, but all bidders must meet insurance, licensing, and background‑check standards.
• Provide initial uniform sets (jacket, shirt, trousers, lab coat) and periodic replacements/resizing.
• Deliver and rotate weekly rental supplies (rags, mats, mopheads) with collection of soiled items.
• Conduct weekly pickup/delivery, maintain inventory logs, and comply with quarterly inspections.
• Meet insurance, licensing, driver‑license background checks, and all state procurement compliance (sanctions, drug‑free workplace, etc.).
• Offer potential preference adjustments (up to 10% or $100 k) for qualifying small‑business, DVBE, or veteran‑service entities.
