Description
The Institute of International Education (IIE) is seeking qualified translation vendors to become preferred service providers for a range of English‑to‑foreign‑language and foreign‑to‑English projects. Vendors must demonstrate capability to handle a broad set of languages (including Arabic and Vietnamese), preserve original document formatting, and provide robust quality‑assurance processes. The contract will be governed by a Master Services Agreement and may be renewed annually for up to five years. Vendors must furnish per‑word rate tables, turnaround times, sample translations, references, and attest to their security compliance (ISO 27001 or SOC 2 Type 2) before signing the MSA.
• Core services: Human translation (AI‑assisted permissible) with formatting preservation for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF.
• Required deliverables: Sample translations (Arabic & Vietnamese), QA description, AI use statement, software capability list, turnaround times for 1k/10k/20k‑word projects, and security questionnaire completion.
• Evaluation criteria: Price (standard/urgent/weekend rates), turnaround speed, quality of samples, references, QA processes, and compliance with IT security requirements.
