Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to perform a one-time reinspection and repair of 53 fire and smoke dampers at the VA Illiana Health Care System in Danville, Illinois. The contractor will be responsible for physically inspecting, cleaning, recalibrating, and testing the dampers, as well as documenting the results and providing a final report. The contract will be for a firm fixed price, and the work is expected to be completed within 90 days of the contract award date.
• The contractor must have experience in fire and smoke damper inspection and maintenance, including a minimum of 3 years of experience and experience working in a VA or medical center.
• The contractor must provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to complete the work.
• The contractor must comply with all relevant codes and regulations, including NFPA codes and VA directives.
• The contractor must provide a detailed report of the inspection and testing results, including any necessary corrections or repairs.
• The contractor must meet with the VA daily to review the previous day's inspection results and discuss any concerns or issues.
