Canal Headgate Structure

The City of Columbia is seeking a qualified contractor to replace the Canal Headworks Remediation Project, which includes the replacement of the Canal Headgate Structure. The project is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development under the Community Development Block Grant – Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) program and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The successful contractor will be responsible for completing the project, which includes licenses and certifications, project-specific licenses and certifications, special standards of responsibility, and scope of work. The contractor must adhere to federal regulations, including the Davis-Bacon Act and Section 3 requirements. • The project scope includes the replacement of the Canal Headgate Structure, which is a critical component of the Columbia Canal facility. • The contractor must have a valid South Carolina General Contractors License and must secure any applicable additional licenses or permits necessary to do business in the City of Columbia. • The contractor must adhere to federal regulations, including the Davis-Bacon Act and Section 3 requirements. • The contractor must provide a copy of their valid South Carolina General Contractors License with the technical response and shall have the required classification for the scope of work.
