Description

The Homeless Veterans' Reintegration Program (HVRP) is an employment-focused, competitive federal grant program intended to enable veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness to reach their full employment potential and obtain high-quality career outcomes. The program provides services tailored to each veteran's needs using a case management approach, including job training services, job placement, and career counseling. The program aims to connect veterans with supportive services available in their local communities and help them successfully return to work. • The program is aligned with the priorities set forth by the President's Executive Orders to deliver comprehensive employment services to eligible veterans. • Grant recipients must provide services that directly assist veterans in establishing critical linkages to local community support resources. • The program emphasizes securing high-quality career outcomes by providing veterans with necessary job training and employment services. • Grant recipients must implement strategies that account for the complex employment barriers faced by this population. • The program provides funding for a comprehensive range of client-centered services within a case management framework.
