Promotional Examination Development and Administration for Tucson Fire Department

The City of Tucson is seeking proposals from qualified Offerors to develop and administer promotional testing processes for the Tucson Fire Department. The successful Contractor shall perform a job analysis of essential knowledge, skills and abilities and develop and administer promotional testing processes for the positions of Fire Captain and Fire Battalion Chief. The Contractor will be expected to work closely with Fire Department and City of Tucson Human Resources staff. Key aspects of the job include: • Developing methodology to conduct a job analysis of the positions of Fire Captain and Fire Battalion Chief • Utilizing the City of Tucson’s job description for the positions as a basis for review and analysis • Developing linkage from essential function statements to knowledge, skill and ability levels required to perform the jobs • Developing an examination plan for the positions, including a written examination, an oral board and an assessment center process • Providing performance and developmental feedback to candidates in writing within 30 days of the publication of the final assessment scoring
