Description
The Alamo Area Council of Governments is seeking qualified contractors to provide aging supportive services for older adults in the Alamo and Bexar Area Agency on Aging region. The services include Respite Care, Delivered Meals, Transportation Services, Elderly Assistance Services, and more. The contractor must have demonstrable expertise in the tasks required and must ensure that clients are treated respectfully and professionally. The contract period is expected to be one year with an option for four one-year extensions.
• Services to be provided: Respite Care, Delivered Meals, Transportation Services, Elderly Assistance Services, and more
• Target population: Older persons residing in rural areas, older persons with greatest economic need, older persons with severe disabilities, and more
• Funding sources: Title III of the Older Americans Act of 1965, as amended, and state general revenue funds
• Contract requirements: The contractor must recognize the special needs and concerns of low-income, elderly, and handicapped clients and must ensure that clients are always treated respectfully and professionally
