036.21.B3 Plumbing Contractor Services On-Call

The contract is for plumbing contractor services, including labor, supplies, and equipment, to be provided by Maryland Mechanical Systems, Inc. to Howard County Public School System. The contract has a base term of one year, with options to renew for up to 5 additional years. The contract value is not to exceed $2,000,000 annually, with a total contract value of $12,000,000 over the base term and options. The scope of work includes providing all goods and services as described in the solicitation documents, with the contractor responsible for delivering all goods and services in accordance with the requirements set forth in the solicitation documents. Some key points of the contract include: • The contractor shall provide all labor, supplies, and equipment necessary to perform the work. • The contractor shall exercise no administrative authority over the work of employees of the Board. • The contractor shall comply with all federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, and regulations applicable to its activities and obligations under this agreement. • The contractor shall procure, at its expense, all licenses, permits, insurance, and governmental approval necessary to the performance of its obligations under this agreement. • The contractor shall indemnify, defend, and save harmless the Board, its agents, and employees against and from all third-party suits, actions, claims, demands, damages, losses, expenses, attorney fees, and/or costs of every kind and description to which the Board may be subjected or put. • The contractor shall maintain insurance with the minimum requirements noted within the solicitation documents and/or as otherwise required by HCPSS.
