Description
The City of Olathe is seeking a vendor to establish a standalone virtual environment that deploys "thin client" hardware type devices instead of PCs in locations where such is deemed to be feasible. The virtual environment shall include delivering desktops to remote users and to mobile devices such as iPads. The purpose of this project is to allow the technical staff to support standardization of the desktop environments, monitor software license usage, reduce service calls, provide better centralized management, and reduce downtime to users when troubleshooting problems.
• The City of Olathe currently manages over 950 computers throughout various City locations.
