Description
The County of Riverside Purchasing and Fleet Services sought proposals for a turn-key solution to support the County's Enterprise PeopleSoft HR and Financial Systems. The contract was awarded to BIAS Corporation, which submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid. The project involves the replacement of the existing hardware platform and associated systems. The goal is to create a highly virtualized, automated, and flexible architecture that can scale quickly and inexpensively with the County's business needs while maintaining required performance levels and 24x7x365 availability.
• The contract is for a not-to-exceed cost for all hardware, professional services, package software, support, and/or frameworks required to fulfill business requirements.
• The County is looking to capitalize on recent innovation in the server arena to reduce costs and provide a framework that is scalable and extensible to meet diverse business requirements.
• A mandatory bidder's meeting was held on November 5, 2014, at the Riverside County Innovation Center.
