Parks & Recreation Open Space Plan – Planning Services

The City of Seattle is seeking a consultant to develop a 2027 Parks and Open Space Plan that will guide the development and management of the city's parks, open spaces, and facilities. The plan should be based on data-informed, community-driven recommendations and should align with the city's comprehensive plan and park district financial plan. The consultant will be responsible for updating the parks and open space plan, capital facility plan, and acquisition plan, as well as developing a racial equity toolkit, tribal engagement plan, and public engagement plan. The consultant should have experience in comprehensive planning, public asset management, and community engagement. Some of the key responsibilities of the consultant include: • Developing a 2027 Parks and Open Space Plan • Updating the Capital Facility Plan • Developing a Tribal Engagement Plan • Developing a Public Engagement Plan • Analyzing and developing public policy related to parks and open spaces The city is looking for a consultant with experience in comprehensive planning, public asset management, and community engagement. The consultant should be able to work with diverse stakeholders, including community groups, tribal groups, and city staff.
