The Municipality of Anchorage is seeking a full‑scale upgrade of its fare‑collection system for the People Mover public‑transport network. The award will cover design, supply, installation, integration, and ongoing support of a cloud‑native, account‑based fare‑collection platform, associated hardware for 63 buses, and migration of historic transaction data. A pilot of ten vehicles must be operational by Q3 2026, with full fleet rollout targeted for November 2026, and the contract runs for five years with optional two‑year renewals.
• Deploy a SaaS fare‑collection platform with unified sales and data dashboards, fare‑policy engine, and multi‑modal reporting.
• Provide and install farebox validators, POS peripheral sets, and smart‑card inventory (including initial smart‑card stock) for the entire fleet, supporting cash, check, credit, and EMV payments.
• Integrate the new system with the existing Avail ETMS, legacy Genfare fareboxes, and the Masabi JustRide mobile‑ticketing platform, and migrate at least 24 months of transaction history.
• Deliver comprehensive training, 24 × 7 × 365 support, and a rider‑adoption marketing plan with multilingual materials.
• Contract term is five years, with up‑to‑two optional two‑year renewals, and includes mandatory “Must‑Have” items only; all “Should‑Have/Could‑Have/Won’t‑Have” items are excluded from pricing.
