5703 - Bottled Water and Dispenser Unit Rental

The City of Redding, California is requesting quotes for furnishing bottled water and dispenser unit rentals to various city-owned locations. The contract period will be from the date of award through June 30, 2027, with the option to extend for two additional one-year periods. The City is seeking a vendor to provide bottled water that meets all federal, state, and local requirements, and to rent dispenser units. The vendor will be required to deliver bottled water every two weeks, at a minimum, and to provide a fixed price for water regardless of the quantity left at each location. The City currently rents 22 column-style dispensers and uses approximately 2,000 assorted size bottles of water annually at 10 locations. However, these are estimates, and the City may purchase more or less water and/or rent more or fewer dispenser units during the contract term. The quote should include the following: 1. Bottled water prices for different sizes and types of water (spring, distilled, etc.) 2. Dispenser unit rental prices, including sales tax 3. A yearly cumulative usage report of all products purchased by the City The City requires the vendor to maintain current certificates of insurance, hold a State of California, Department of Health and Safety Services, Private Water Source Operator’s License (if applicable), and obtain a City of Redding business license. The award of the contract will be made on the basis of the lowest responsive evaluated total price. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Quotes must be submitted to the Purchasing Office by 2:00 P.M. PT on Thursday, June 11, 2026. Late quotes will not be accepted or considered.
