Request for Proposals for Engineering Services-Troopers Crossing Repaving

The City of Independence, Kentucky, is requesting proposals from professional engineering consultant firms for the purpose of providing engineering services for the Troopers Crossing Repaving project. The project involves repaving and repairing the existing asphalt pavement, including milling 2.5” of the existing asphalt pavement, installing 1” asphalt leveling course and 1.5” asphalt surface course, and performing select full depth pavement repairs. The successful bidder will be required to provide design and engineering services, including agency, utility, and stakeholder coordination, public information sessions, and permitting. • The project is funded by KY SNK REPAVING funding. • The lead consultant must be prequalified with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in the areas of Roadway Design, Surveying, Rural Roadway Design, and Urban Roadway Design. • The successful bidder will be required to perform all necessary agency, utility, and stakeholder coordination. • The successful bidder will be required to prepare all final design and engineering plans and opinions of cost consistent with all Federal, state, and local requirements.
