Distribution of USDA Foods For The National School Lunch Program-Service Area1, Region 2

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) is seeking bids for the distribution of USDA foods to Recipient Agencies (RA) in Service Area 1, Region 2. The successful bidder will be responsible for delivering USDA foods to RA locations, storing and handling the foods, and providing inventory reports. The contract is expected to be effective from the date of execution through June 30, 2027. Key aspects of the job include: • Receiving and storing USDA foods in a warehouse facility • Delivering USDA foods to RA locations • Providing inventory reports to the Department and RA • Maintaining a warehouse facility that meets the standards recommended by the Refrigeration Research Foundation • Complying with all applicable state and local fire safety, food storage/handling requirements, and health codes The contractor must have experience in food distribution and warehousing, and must be able to provide proof of insurance and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
