Deputy Inspectors - Building

The State of Tennessee’s Department of Commerce and Insurance is seeking a Tennessee‑registered professional corporation to provide building‑inspection services (Deputy Inspectors) for one‑ and two‑family residential construction across at least three counties. The contractor must hold current Tennessee State Fire Marshal residential building, mechanical, and plumbing inspector certifications, meet experience thresholds, and comply with strict conflict‑of‑interest, nondiscrimination, and illegal‑immigrant employment prohibitions. Inspections must be completed within tight turn‑around times (general inspections ≤ 3 working days, slab inspections ≤ 1 working day) and invoiced on a per‑inspection fee schedule. • Perform footer/monolithic slab, rough‑in, and final building inspections with optional mechanical/plumbing add‑ons. • Maintain a Tennessee Professional Corporation structure, carry required liability insurance, and submit detailed records and invoices for each inspection. • Provide service in at least three Tennessee counties, using approved technology (tablet/computer, cellular phone, printer) to enter data into the State’s online portal.
