Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking information from contractors who can provide fire extinguisher inspection, testing, and maintenance services at the VA Pacific Islands Health Care Systems in Hawaii. The contractor will be responsible for conducting annual inspections, maintenance, and testing of portable fire extinguishers, as well as providing certification and tagging services. The contractor must be certified and/or licensed to perform the specified work and must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• The contractor will conduct onsite annual inspections at various locations in Hawaii.
• The contractor will be responsible for identifying the different types of extinguishers by type and size and maintaining records of the required annual and hydrostatic due dates.
• The contractor will provide backup fire extinguishers when necessary and maintain a list of all fire extinguishers and their maintenance due dates.
• The contractor will provide annual fire extinguisher inventory and service reports.
